i have my old com back! actually my mom just installed a raulter (roulter? rulter? roghlter?) upstairs.

today was our last official training session. it wasn't as emotional as i expected it to be. actually it wasn't emotional at all. it felt so normal. maybe because we know we're always welcome back to train with the team. well im actually quite satisfied because i was supposed to quit swimming this year (mom) but i secretly carried on and im glad i did. after this month we'll be officially retired from the swim team!

i just read shape's wonderwomen column.
and this month it featured this woman Yvonne Yip (note the similarity in names = greatness association) who has done more than 70 triathlons biathlons duathlons and marathons up to date since 1992, so that's 15 years. and she's like fifty years old.
so i am going to out-race her. by the time i am 36, i will aim to complete 100 triathlons duathlons and biathlons in 20 years. (that = 5 in a year which is not too bad)
and if i keep this up i would have done 170 by the time i am 50 years old.
uhhh ok.
eh its good to dream okay maybe one day i'll be a Shape wonder woman too.

i realise sometimes the things in my life seem so trival.
today i read my history textbook because i was quite pissed off by miss tan's pms today so i decided to do something about my history and blablablabla.
so, i was reading and i read the page on the account of hiroshima and nagasaki. And even though the Japanese started it and they probably deserved it, I started tearing (in coffeebean alone) because i was so devastated.

or we cry over something we did wrong
it really doesn't matter because that is not war. real war is beyond anything people like you and me can ever imagine.

i don't take life very seriously.
maybe because i'm so assured of salvation that i tend to take it for granted.

i like sitting alone in places because it lets me think and it lets me watch the world quietly.
it's strange but one thing i habitually do is watching people. i could stare at a stranger for hours (not in a sick way) but just watching them and listening to what they say and it intrigues me as i find out this life they're living.
When i'm alone i'm not myself anymore. I watch people and I pretend I'm invisible and I pretend I'm living their life. I watch their every action and try to read their faces. i don't know why i do it.
maybe i just cant stick to being one person.

hello friends, i am so relieved the string of tests are over
and to celebrate, it is cheesecake day tomorrow.
i just made cheesecake for my beautiful friends, for letting me always steal their food during break. its in the oven. it smells good. i hope it doesn't turn out wrong because i kind of added my own ingredients (not pisai) because all the recipes i found all said different things.

today was uncle fred's funeral service.
how great is it when you live your life to the fullest and when you probably love everyone else more than yourself. i teared when i heard/saw all the testimonies, how he cared for everyone. and it got me thinking like, when i die, would i have made a difference in anyone's life. would i have helped someone. would i have loved and lived to serve? would my life have mattered?
because when you die, God's not going to look at which university you went to or how many manolos you've got or how much you earn.

there's surely more to life and i have to do some soul searching and more character building i think.
